About the Class

Russian Wedding Rings, or Trinity Rings, are beautiful and playful pieces of jewellery - and if you follow the instructions in this class step-by-step you will find them easier than you might think!

Traditionally made from rose, yellow and white gold, Russian Wedding Rings are three interlocking rings that roll comfortable around your finger as you play with them. This class will take you through everything you need to make your own set - and most importantly will teach you how to get the sizing right first time, every time. I will be working in silver though as this is a beginner project! These rings are best made from D shaped or half-round wire to make them as smooth and comfortable on the inside as possible.

This class is part of a series teaching you all the basic but essential silversmithing skills that you need to create beautiful jewellery. You can choose to enrol on this class separately or on the Silversmithing for Beginners course bundle and access the full series of classes.

You will need:

Materials:
D-shaped or half round wire. The class example uses 2.5mm by 1.3mm D-shaped wire.

Equipment: (all the jewellery making kit listed here can be used for many different projects) *Soldering kit - see here for more details
*Ring sizers
*Jeweller’s saw
*Bench peg
*Ruler
*Sharpie
*6" Half round file
*Engineer’s square
*Emery paper
*Nylon jaw pliers or ring bending pliers
*Nylon hammer
*Ring triblet
*Steel block and leather cushion (or folded tea towel!)
*Steel wheatsheaf stick
*For polishing - a tumble polisher or elbow grease and a silver polishing cloth.
